Yard sale find 1/11/14

Hello forum

from time to time I post my yard sale finds.

I bought this lot a few days ago.

The guy said it came from his grandfathers estate. It was in a small cigar box.

I wasn't sure if all the stuf is original... and after haggling for a half hour... the price was $300.

does everything look okay?

I cant seem to find a bronze 10 year service police medal with a neck ribbon, almost like a mothers cross. It has a snap on the end.

The panzer badge is pinned onto the HJ armband, and the flyers patch (?) was sewn onto the armband but came undone on one end.

the SS skull is missing both prongs.

Wow! What a nice haul!!!! Congratulations!

I just now stumbled upon this thread while searching for something totally unrelated. I can't believe that no one responded to your discussion thread. Everything looks really nice and completely original IMO.

That ribbon on the NSDAP 10-Year long Service Cross was actually a width used for ribbon bar assemblies and/or miniatures and not with the full-size cross. However, having said that, I suppose it is possible that a female party member recipient may have opted to wear it around her neck in the same manner as a Mother Cross. Since you say it has a snap fastener on the ribbon, that would certainly imply that someone set it up for wear in that manner. Very interesting!
