Dornier stickpin in 935 silver- what era???

First buy of 2014 for me.
Dornier being one of those companies that stuck with its logo for most of its existence makes for a wee difficult task to try and date this one.
Not really visible in the pic but the pin is knurled.
    Anyone has any ideas??
    Thanks in advance

    cheers
    Matt

Hopefully the twists on the pin are visible on this one.

A post WW2 pin in my estimation as none like it are recorded in any of the reference material I have seen.

I agree with Lyn. This contraption is far from a Dornier silhouette, looks like a whale with wings.

Matt, can you do a close-up of the knurls?

        cheers

This "whale with wings" is a logo of Dornier Seaplane Company- which unlike its parent company Dornier Flugzeugwerke- is still in existence.
Previously known as Dornier Seawings AG it is now led by Prof. Dornier's Grandson Conrado.
The pin is most likely dated mid to end 1980s.

Thanks Matt, not so strange I didn't find it in Jane's book.

            cheers

              Dornier Factory Worker's Badge

My first post here, so may be in the wrong place - apologies if so.

Here is my Dornier Factory badge - dates from the period 1935-45. Measures 37mm across and has # 3228 stamped into reverse. One of my favourite small objects!
