Are we sure that the "800" represents the silver content of this piece, and not the issue or control number of this badge or award presented by the Nationalsozialistische Lehrerbund? Just a thought...

silver it is

The badge tested positive for silver content so although it is a possibility that it could be a control number (it would be quite a coincidence), the possibility of the stamp being an award or issue number seem to be out as there are more than one with the same 800 number.

Didn`t notice it till I looked myself, but the one I have is marked "800" as well. You can barely see the "8" but its there.
