Unknown badge in photo

I hope this is the right place to post this photo.
It shows some kind of ceremony with a LW NCO wearing a badge which is unknown to me.

Can someone ID it for me.

The badge in the photo looks round to me...this award is oval. Maybe it is just my eyes...but I don't think that is it.

I have found another photo of the same guy with the same badge. It is definitely oval.

I believe it is a Schwerathleten Abzeichen (Heavy Athletics Badge).
