1936 Olympic game enamel badge - H. Osang

    Hello,

Not in my knowledge, somebody can tell me if this insiginia is a pre-ww2 period made and an idea of the actual value?

    Many thanks,

Dont be fooled by the number on the reverse, many collectors are when they see numbers on small badges
And dont be fooled that dealers always sell them as original. (Here is a link to Militaria Agent who have one now listed as original for €100.)
It is a 100% Fantasy invention, made long after the 1936 Olympic games

No worries. Although this very badge is pictured in an old TIESTE catalog, it is still nothing more than a fantasy invention.

Jo, what is the history behind this badge as you know it? Is there a known place and time of origin? This badge has always interested me as there is no documentary evidence it was ever produced for the Olympics but each badge is individually numbered. I've never seen two with the same number of the 20 or so I have seen. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to unless there is some easy way to mark each badge individually prior to the enamelling.
