NSDAP Member Badge M1/13 - Opinions

    Hi,
need some opinions on this badge. Lettering seems weird front and back and differs from other M1/13 badges.
    Thanks

A really nice and scare Lauer-made post April 1935 badge. See the book The Party Badge- An Advanced Study Of The NSDAP Membership Badge pp.467-470, where 2 such examples are shown, one marked GES.GESCH and the other marked only RZM 13. Discussed also in detail as to why the font is, the way it is.

Woops, an answer is didn´t expected. As i could not find any reference material of this type and with the slight opinion it´s a fake i stored it the last time in the "trash box"

Thank you for your opinion and the link to reference book. I wasn´t aware that such book exists. Is there also something mentioned about the maker "Zeugmeisterei Österr. Gesetzlich Gesch." ?

Yes this specific badge is addressed in detail on a few pages. The book exists, but is expensive at €110.- (LINK -EU) There is a cheaper alternative though, Michael Tuckers NSDAP Enamel, it costs only a fraction of the price, and can be found here:

This soft-cover book (82 pages) is the only complete, affordable guide for the Nazi Party pin available on the market today!

With what's written in the first reference, you are not seriously recommending the second, are you ?

As stated in the preface of my book "N.S.D.A.P. Enamel", my book is just a beginning to the study of the Party Pin. At the time the book was written nothing was available at all concerning the Party Pin. I have not seen Jo's book yet but I am sure that it contains great new information about the history and construction of the Party Pin. Even with its faults, I think my book suffices as an introduction to the enameled Party Pin.
Don't let the price of Jo's book keep you from buying it! Can you ever pay to much for knowledge!

Actually yes i am - i have to really.
The reason why the authors of shallow militaria books, or as i wrote in the introduction of my book; militaria picture-pop-up-books, have been able to continually offload their printed opinion on the collectors for so many decades, is because that is what a major portion of the community actually want; a colorful book with neat graphics and as little text as possible. So no amount of screaming & shouting on my part will change the fact that many collectors are not interested in a factual account of history, and will judge a book the way they are accustomed to reading, or judging books.

Sad but true. I did though, say the "cheaper" version, and that usually means a version of lesser quality, either in presentation or contents - or both - and i am sure that most adults understand it this way, so there you go.
