A friend told me that he believes a particular SA tinnie is authentic because it's "stamped". He said most fakes are solid. Aren't SS tinnies heavily reproduced, as well as rarer SA tinnies like the 1st pattern 1931 SA-Treffen Braunschweig badge?
There are fakes of many tinnies done, both solid and hollow in metal and also in paper and cardboard, rare and common, (or should that be expensive and cheap) so that is not a criteria for determining the genuineness of a particular badge.
