and heres Admiral Sir Henry Daniel Pridham-Wippells ribbon bars, he won the Medaglia al Valore Militare in ww1 and then his j post war bar still doesn't have the itlain medal on it! so thats why i cant see any british person who won a political (ie german nazi/fascist) award wanting to wear it again post war!

Would wearing a more "neutral" looking ribbon bar as the one posted at the start of this topic raise any eyebrows then according to you?
Just thinking out loud, im not promoting the ribbon that started the topic to anything it is or may not be, but also not rejecting it because of the reasoning that is displayed in some of the last posts.
Who knows what certain veterans did? Who knows whats the background of this little ribbon bar is? Another thing that came to my mind was a German person that fled to England for whatever reason and after the war returned to Germany or another country and there made up his ribbon for post-war wearing. The list with "possibilities" that are not according to the official rules is endless.
