This came with a group of items and was wondering if it was issued this way or did it come off a backing as it is paper thin.. any ideas or help would be nice. Thanks Mike

Danke für die Übersetzung mein Englisch ist schlecht. Das Papier ist Ok das Abzeichen wurde aus sehr dünnem Papier gemacht es war nur gedacht für ein paar Stunden ( 1 Tag) solange man in der Kaserne war das Abzeichen ist Selten es hat die Katalog Nr aus dem Katalog von Herr Büttig Nr 65011 von der 5 Infanterie Division ausgegeben durch das 14 Infanterie Regiment

Guy says "The badge is OK, the badge was made of very thin paper, it was just for a few hours (1 day) as long as you were in the barracks, the badge is rare, it is numbered in the catalog of Mr. Büttig 5 No. 65011 . Issued by the 14 Infantry Division Infantry Regiment"
Presumably for visitors to the barracks open day. Nice find.
By the way Mr, Büttig is a German? authority on WHW badges and produces a WHW collectors news sheet/catalogues dealing with newly found/obscure items.
