    help please

A good friend of mine has asked me to look at the badges below. I know nothing of these and can imagine they have been heavily faked. The only ones I have seen have a maker mark on the rear which these haven`t. Can anyone give me a clue to their authenticity.

    Many thanks

    Jim

    Jim,
I probably know less about these than you or anyone else, but the coffin type pin attachments would be a red flag for me.

Coffin pin plate means fake; end of story.

I agree about the type of pin plate used which were never TR-era. Did a search on the forum and two types of marker marks exist for these designs, but the common consensus was that these are fantasy items.

              Hi Jim,

As others already typed, i would not want these in my collection.

              best regards,
              Gaston

They are fakes. The coffin pin is a dead give away. Don't recall ever seeing an authentic German badges featuring the US flag, unless maybe being created here in the US. I'm sure stuff like that does exist since there was a party movement here in the 30's and such.

But if you do find something like that, research and questions, along with posting the item(s) on here.

Be very cautious on any item with that pin backing and something featuring the US flag and the Swaztika together.

                Cheers
                Brian
