Since when is 9.5 x 7" a small book? (medium octavo range of the American Library Association) It is bigger than the Bender books which was and still might be the "standard". It is also bigger than the Lumsden publications (and that not only in size ....), which are 8.5 x 5.75".
The famous "Handbook on German Military Forces" published by the War Department in 1945 was only 7 x 10" and that was sufficient to describe the whole German Army - on under 400 pages - and even win the war!!
I have elephantitis of the left hand. That hand is nearly 2'x2'! If this book had legs it could double as a coffee table.
You see, there is a catch... a haken, the legs are sold separately. You will be a returning customer then? .. Maybe not a happy one due to the missing legs, but a returning one
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED! My copy arrived today and it is beautifully produced. I am pleased with it and look forward to leisurely strolling through it -- at 524 pages, it will take a while!

... Now I just have to go to Customs and collect it.

You have to go to the customs and collect it? Packages get delivered to our door in Switzerland
Is it really so bad in Germany that a new book, printed in 2013, even if it was full of Swastikas...would cause a problem?
If it was a Right Wing propaganda book, OK, but a normal, Historical book? Sounds bad :-(
I hope it is only that, and that the Custome person who deals with my packet had in the evening before a great time in the Oktoberfest and a good night sex... I hope when they make me open the packet (like they did before), this person classify this book as "Historical research" and not as "propaganda". Big difference.
