The symbol is for the NSV (Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt) but I'm afraid this actual badge is unknown to me, sorry.

A very unusual badge as it's made from metal and very labor intensive fine hand crochet work which is affixed to the metal portion of this badge. The red felt backing on my badge was there when I purchased it as IM not sure if it was done by the original owner or added later but it helps the crochet work stand out so I left it there.

Nice badge James. Now that we can see the details better it's easier to see appreciate it's beauty.
