What is the issue with the rivets?

Taken or broken apart and put back together?????

Additionally, I would like to see a straight on view of the
obverse of the wreath and swastika.

                Thanks

Lovely badge but those rivets are going to affect the value.

                    Original. But why the rivets?

As has already been said, a beautiful piece...but why the rivets?

Original with the earlier year and nice enamel, both preferable IMO. Rivets have always been the weak points. But I do not see it bringing $2,000.

                              1923

Here is my 1923 Gau Badge. Unfortunately the US veteran broke the pin and catch off so he could glue it on a board. You can see the original rivets were weak looking in the beginning, but seemed to hold up under the punishment.
The one starting this thread, however, looks repaired to me.
