      British, circa 1985.
      Note the misspelling of 'Adolf'.

It had occured to me, but didn't realise it was an exclusive English spelling. Is that an obvious give away on ANY supposed pre-1945 items?
        regards

          Hello Jon,
Not necessarily only English--I remember when these came out, along with the phony SS marked cyanide capsules--both were around 1984-85 or so.
I've seen 'Adolphus' in German printed material, but AH didn't use that spelling. Plus, what would he need a key for?

I have had three of these that I have had and wore on keychains through the years. A friend of mine had one on his back in High School. In 1976.

The one that I have know was bought at a flea market for $5.00, It was $15.00 until I alerted the seller to the English spelling of Adolph.
The funniest thing that I have ever heard about the Origin of these things is: A seller on Ebay was saying that these things were givin to French Women who were known to convort with German Soldiers. That was a good one. Thank you Ebay for yet another Laugh!!
