its from my own collection. in hand i dont have any doubts to its authenticity.

i've read speculation that unmarked badges may be austrian in origin.

i dont know if theres anything to substantiate that though.

was "ges. gesch." a legal phrase that was in use in austria before the anschluss?

Possibly early or as said possibly made in Aus pre 38. Either way it has all the characteristics of a legit badge.
