I also just bought one of these and would like to find out about it. The seller I bought it from thought it was a badge given out, or sold during the 1936 Olympics. What does the badge say, Is it 'Visit in Berlin' or something?
I was having my doubts, but one popped up on Detlev's site a few weeks back and it was with some other Political type badges. Don't know really, any help would be appreciated.
Don't know the price, was with a few others, I think the total for the lot was about 30-40 Euros, but not too sure. That was for about 16 bits & pieces, I saved the picture, can't post the picture here though, maybe I could e-mail it to you?
This little badge isn't pre war or war time but very post war. I've seen dozen's of these on the flea markets in Berlin. Very common and very available today, I'm very suprised Detlev had one.
I think these badges are certainly post war - I was actually under the impression that they were given out as collectibles to vistors to the Reichstag as late as the early 90s. I'm not sure if this is true though.
Erik- Can you show the reverse?
I have one that is pictured below (although the picture is of very poor quality).
I thought this was a modern badge too, especially as the flags look very much like the modern German flag, no hint of a Swastika or anything. Also looks as if the pin assembly is glued on. My suspicions are now confirmed.
