      Hi

I have also seen a copy of this list. In the one I have seen he have
the number 37235 and not the 37245 that I seek.

Could be a error on the online list I have seen? but please dobbelt check thanks

This one belongs on Jon's hospitalized GPB list, only I consider this one DOA.

What a sad condition this Fuess-style piece is in. It almost looks like someone has tried to make it look worse-off than it should be, possibly with the introduction of some sort of acid. Does anyone have experience with ground-dug pieces that can corroborate that the damage to the finish and the cloisonne work is in any way typical to those found buried for several decades? What heightens my suspicions is that the pin assembly has been replaced, and by a pin type seldom seen (at least by me) on repaired GPBs. Just some thoughts.

                  Its fine

I have full trust that this is a original and as fund condition.

I have been doing some metaldetecting in Denmark, and in my experience items with the same age can be fund almost mint or almost gone.

The ground condition is the issue, or if the metal are in contact with something that
                  eats it up.

This is certainly the worst condition ground dug GPB I have ever seen. Must have ended up in some kind of aggressive / contaminated soil / environment.

I am going to add a link to the respective thread on WWM.
