    Awesome Dutch NSB enamel medal

    check this out...awesome enamel quality.,...i guess this is some commemorative for an annual athletic event(volks march or some such)...what is striking is just the brilliant enamel colors....

      Hello Mike indeed a nice one, the reverse of the medal is: anual distance hike the colour of the ribbon should be bright orange. Take a look at this site you will love the pictures altough it is in Dutch.

        Something you don't see everyday. Thanks for the translation Rene, it looks like the ribbon might have been orange once upon a time but is now rather faded. Yours is very orange!

          thanks Rene...yes the ribbon has faded but the enamel is brilliant....

              Hi all,
              to compliment this thread (hopefully) here is my only N.S.B. items.
              The medal was given to me by a work mate some 25 years ago and on that week end whilst trawling the local market i found the small badge though the pin was broken i still paid the 20pence for the badge !!

                      Mike, nice medal. It's a rare one. The value is around euro 200.

                      The one ahshley showed is more common. I have one for the year 1941. They were given for the christmas march. The "2" is for the second time that the recipient took part in the march. Ashley, I like the tinnie you showed. If you ever want to sell it, contact me.
