Cone's book identifies the "AK" marked RDK badge as a fake. They have been around a very long time. The eye on the eagle should be triangular and black. Also, the enamel on the outline of the peak of the top arm of the swastika should also be black and not red. No one likes that back on an Erwache badge.

The Deutsche Christen Badge has some rough details on the front, especially the black enamel. I only know of the ones marker marked the Willi Merton on the reverse, and they are of the highest quality. The gold on them is some of the best I've seen on a badge. I'll try to post a photo.

The 1st pattern Frauenschaft badges is textbook and good.

Yes, his book also shows many fake and indeed even fantasy badges as genuine, as well as accompanying infos/tales, that have nothing in common with reality. Why even bother mentioning this book? It is very clear that the author of this book, had no idea about anything they wrote about, it is clear that it is full of wrong figures, it is clear that there are many lies in the book, and it is clear, that this particular book was written specifically with the intention of opening up the collectors doors to the fakes of that period. In short, not a beginners mistake, but a book full of junk specifically untented to help promote fakes and fantasy badges.

The WILLI MERTEN badges, that are "of the highest quality" are in fact not of the highest quality, and very recently i have made an interesting discovery, that being that many of the WIILI MERTEN badges cannot actually be real

I have no problem though with the DC badge on this thread, marked Ges.Gesch

dont know about the deutsche christen, IMO deutschland erwache is a copy. the Rdk and frauenschaft look ok to me..
