Medallions???

I can't seem to find a forum category for this type of stuff but I will post them here? I know one is German WW2 for sure the other no idea. Help would be greatly appreciated on these medallion found in a Vet's estate.

Thank you Ron. Anyone else have any thoughts as to what purpose they could have been for or where I could search for info regarding them? Does the 2nd one seem German or perhaps from the UK?

Perhaps the second is Irish as this is the only JMH I could find. Though it seems a high number for a jewellery business.

These could well be pit tallies. When we had a mining industry in the UK (remember that anyone?) we used very similar items when sending men undergound to check the same number came up as went down the pit.
