Austrian Membership Shield/Badge??

I was wondering if this was an authentic piece. I'm pretty sure it's an early austrian badge, can't find anything about it. Any response is appreciated.

Is it a convention badge?
If it's early and Austrian, does that mean its rare? And is it rare enough to be valuable?

It's a poor knock-off fake of the postwar repro Gau Wien Badge that used to be sold by the Rudolf Souval firm, Vienna, Austria. It is listed in the old 1971 Souval catalog as their item 11/56 @ ÖS 110 or DM 15.70. It was sold mostly in the States by WW#2 Ltd of St. Louis MO, & is pictured in their old catalog on page 40, as their item #11560 @5.oo.

@Silesien: interesting information! Is the badge a complete phantasy product, or does there exist an original from the 30s?

If existing as an original or not - backside says for sure, that it's a copy.
