Help On Skull Please

I don't know where to post this skull but I'll try here. I got it at a estate sale a few years ago. There were other WW2 German items there also. It seems to be carved out of satined bone or such. There are 2 holes on the side and I don't know if it hung from something or not. I thought possibly a soldier may have made it like trench art. Any info would be great.

I like it but it has nothing to do with the Third Reich

I would think the stylized swastika would indicate Third Reich as well as the Death Head and eagle all of which are used allot in Third Reich symbolism.
