SA-Badge Braunschweig - good or bad

Hi everybody,

here I have another SA-Badge Braunschweig which has lost most of its finish and seems to have a nice wear. Or is it a fake
Any help is highly appreciated.

Altho in a very worn condition - - I rather like the look of that badge.

I thought the hollow versions (1st form) were more oval in appearance.

Can someone clear this up for me?

The example posted is known as the "second type" it comes both as a hollow back and as a solid back. The hollow backs are of superior quality - solid nickle or nickle plated brass - the solid backs are grey zinc. There is also a pressed tin second pattern too - - - this is quite scarce variety.
