    Hello mate,

Well just purely from observation I have no contention with these packets at all.

They look fine to me and nothing at all strikes me to them being fake. Don't be concerned about the beige one these are evident in many packets of awards. There are of course fakes about, but these from the pictures ring no 'fake bells'.

I like the type set on them, if they fake......I'm buggered

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

Question, Is the name on the back of the envelope also the maker of the Mutter's Cross or just the packets?

As I know things, the name on the presentation packets reflects the name of the maker of the award.

                  James,

The makers name on the back of packets relates to the medal maker only, this is not the packet producer name, the same goes with boxes there are often collectors 'terms' in regards to boxes as a Meybauer etc This is infact a misconception but (a big but) not entirely devoid of any relation to the make of the awards in some instances, theres a long story !

Think of these packets in business terms, you make paper packets..........you contract with lots of makers, thus produce packets for A, B ,C up to X, Y, Z.

There's a process the paper producers, the packet makers (some with printing or co. ability, some not......so on and so forth)

When evident, the makers name is the award makers name only.....I've yet to encounter any other variations should they have existed.

                  Kind regards,

                  Marcus
