Golden Party Badge

I’m looking for a bit of advice on a Deschler and Son Golden Party Badge (Numbered 125!!) which I came across today and have reserved with a view to buying if it's not a fake, - which it certainly looks like. Can any of you help me with judging it’s authenticity and it’s possible value, (basically how much I should pay for it.....if I buy it!)
I’ve had a look under ……http://pages.interlog.com/~sjl/GPB/fakesnew2.html……and I’m still none the wiser. To be honest now that I can see the enlargements it looks pretty doubtful especially the gold leaves but I would just like some definite confirmation that it is a fake.

A couple weeks ago, on another forum, someone was inquiring about the same badge, but without pictures. Cautioned him that most likely it's a fake. So here it is now !

A couple of answers.
I was offered it at a Vienna Flea Market. The chap who offered it to me genuinely may not know it's a fake as he deals with antiques generally and specialises in books and records. On the other hand he may have known!!
As for it having been inquired about on another forum, thats very interesting. Do you think it was exactly the same badge or a similar one? If it was exactly the same one as far as I can see it could only have been put on the other forum by the Austrian chap who offered it to me as he has had it for a while (so he said) - but he doesn't speak or understand English!

Could be ... was a German language forum, frequented by quite a number of Austrians. But who knows, maybe another fake ... or an original ???

I'm glad you mentioned it because if he really did know it was a fake he was obviously trying to con me. Although he doesn't normally deal in the stuff he's actually got some other badges, pins and medals which I am interested in, which I am sure are all OK as they are not actually worth enough to fake. I'll have another word with him and suss out if it actually was him on the other forum. If it was I'll let you know - after I've kicked his arse for trying to con me!
