It was not annual, it was the 15th German sports festival since 1860. 14th > 1928

Weren't the Turnvereins gymnastics-based? I would have translated it as a gymnastics tournament. It's a cool pin.

Hi,

the Deutsche Turnerschaft (DT) was the umbrella organization for many hundred gymnastics clubs.

It was not only gymnastics, but also athletics.

The DT was a more national organization, or better nationalistic organization.


The athletic organizations like "Deutsche Sportbehörde für Leichtathletik" had been unpolitical and more international orientated.
