S.A. Brigade (86 Augsburg) Schwaben - non portable award

I would dearly welcome any comments (good or bad) about what I think is a perhaps quite interesting non portable award (echoing of course an event badge), to the "Old Fighters" of SA Brigade 86 Augsburg, Schwaben.

These chaps were I think within SA Gruppe Hochland (München-Oberbayern).

Is Schwaben an actual or historical district of Germany?

It is I think not like a commonly seen SA sporting award item and instead, appears to be an overt thankyou award.

Any comments or background information would be greatly appreciated and I wonder, do we have a precedent?

    Regards,

    David

Thankyou chaps for all the comments in connection with this SA "award" and please accept my apologies for the slight delay in response.

I do not wish to "flog a dead horse" here as they say.

What is puzzling me a tad is that we have an SA Treffen badge, an associated SA Treffen associated non portable and cased award - and apparently, a postcard celebrating the event. I do not hold the postcard (yet), although I have been told on good authority that it existed for and during the event.

The question is, was there anything special or unusual about this SA Treffen?

                Regards,

                David

                  David,

In my opinion I feel that the font or typeface used in the plaque seems to be rather modern. Perhaps this is not a concern, but just my opinion.

I am not seeing anything modern on this piece at all, what are the measurements?

There is also a special stamp on a letter from this SA meeting in Augsburg:

Thankyou chaps, although originality is not the issue here. The award is 100% period. Instead, I am trying to glean some information about the event. We have the pin, the award, the postcard and now (thankyou Gerdan), a postal franking.

Just trying to understand the significance or not, of this particular SA Treffen.

                        Regards,

                        David
