DJ-Leistungsabzeichen missing serial numbers or B

I recently aquired a DJ-Achievement Badge, and the only thing on the back is the RZM symbol and M1/120. Absent any serial number or the letter B. Is this reason to suspect it is not legit. Pictures forthcoming if requested.

Could this be a legit, but unissued, badge; when it lacks a serial number or the letter B? I am not looking for an authentication of THIS badge, just an answer to this question.

I dont think I have seen one without a serial number. The letter B is only stamped on re-issue badges.

Do you have a shot of the obverse as it looks like a cast copy from that picture

Is it heavy? If so it may be lead, try drawing a line with it.

Weight is 11.2 gms and cannot draw a line with it.
Are these badges numbered before leaving the factory, or engraved later?

Looks like a cast copy. I had not seen one like this before. The pin plate is very weird.
All these badges were numbered or engraved with the "B" in the factory before they were painted.
