Right; Gau East Prussian Commemorative Badge 1938,- the reverse sure is different that the one in Dr. Klietmann's old book that has a vertical pin & that is marked "Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida i. SA."

        More info needed.

Repo? It is to obscure to be faked. It has a classic tinnie pin. Its very well made etc.
        Please more info.

No sir, there are repros of this badge ,follow the link & scroll to the bottom of the page. There was another thread on these and if I remember correctly it was stated all these badges were numbered and had a wide pin not a tinnie pin.I'm not saying yours is a repro it just does not match known originals.

            Wow

Wow do I stand Corrected. I guess I need to wake up and look around. I never knew the fakers had gotten that obscure.
I've had that awhile. But I went thru all the heartaches the first go around when I first started selling my badges few years ago.
            Its like deja vu.

Fakers were making reproductions of that so-called obscure badge as far back as 1971, as per my Rudolf Souval of Vienna, Austria catalog dated 1971,- it was their catalog Item nr. 11/85 priced @ ÖS 110 or DM 15.70, at the time roughly $7. They also produced repros of many other similar badges, including Gau Essen, Gau Berlin, Gau Coburg, Warthegau. Gau Thüringen, Gau Nürnberg, Gau Ost Hannover, Gau Danzig, Gau Baden, & on the same catalog page 4 tinnies that they refered to as Gau badges,- Gau Westfalen, Gau Münsterland, Gau Wien, & Gau Pommern-Stettin. The term is "repro" not "repo"; a repo is a repossession.
