German Eagle Order 5th Class & 6th Class No Swords

    Hi everyone,
I have just picked up these two Eagle Orders, the 5th class has 5 (class) & 21 (Godet) stamped on the ring, the 6th class (in an incorrect common October case) has 835 Munz Berlin stamped on the side and the text in Gothic. My question is: is the 6th class an earlier 3rd or 4th Class or is it genuinely a 6th class?
    Best Regards,
    Michael

Two eagle orders they are authentic.

The cross is a 1943 5th class with maker mark 900 and 21 on the ring and the medal is a 1937 type with gotic text and maker mark 835 PR Munzent Berlin.

These are the categories of the order of the German Eagle in 1937:

Grand Coss of the German Eagle Order (8 tips star)and SASH

Eagle Order with Star (6 tips star)

1 St Class: Cross to put around the neck with Ribbon
2 St Class: Cross badge to put into the chest through needle
3 Th Class: Cross to put into the chest through ribbon and needle
4 Th Class: Silver Medal with gotic text

In 1943 the grades of the order of the German Eagle decorations are reviewed and remain so:

1St Class: Grand Coss of the German Eagle Order (8 tips star)

2 Th Class: Eagle Order with Star (6 tips star)

3 St Class: Cross to put around the neck with Ribbon
4 St Class: Cross badge to put into the chest through needle
5 Th Class: Cross to put into the chest through ribbon and needle
6 Th Class: Silver Medal with latin text
7 Th Class: Bronze Medal with latin text

Michael, there are no 6th or 7th class. The official name of the medal was "Verdienstmedaille", bronze or silver.

As for the rest of the 1943 statues, the 1.Klasse was worn from a sash, but the cross was only 50mm i.e. the same size as the 3.Klasse. The eagles were also frosted in silver. The 1943 Grand Cross was 66mm.

        Btw, nice decorations

        cheers
        Peter
