Your second medal is actually a pretty rare WHW medal. The catalog info is below:

    "Opferschiessen"
    'Mann zerrießt Ketten'
    24 März 1935
    Tieste # 40 605

      Czech Freedom fighter's Medal.

Czechoslovakia Medal WW2, March 15, 1939 Shall Be Free Again.

The face says Czechoslovakia Shall Be Free Again.

On the back is the date march 15, 1939, the day Czechoslovakia ceased to exist having been overrun by the Germans.

"Mann zerreißt Ketten" otherwise it dosn't translate.
Nice to know though, as I have one and never knew what it was for, same ribbon as well.
        Regards.
        Pete

Hang on though this one, and mine are dated 13 Januar 1935!

Hey Pete....I just checked that and I see the same thing. Infact...my medal has a different pattern on the reverse than the one posted and the one in Tieste's book.

Maybe Guy will know more about this. It definitely is the same design as the one in Tieste's Gau book...except for the back.

          Strange...good catch though.
