I agree; nice to see the glass ones not all chipped up as the often are.

      Best,

With all due respect, there is at least one that is special....

Bottom row, second from left is not a tinnie, but a proficiency clasp for the Jungmadel (JM), and is a bit special.

The young girls between 10 and 14 years old belonged to this organization and wore this proficiency clasp badge. (Jungmadel Leistungabzeichen)

The older girls wore the BDM clasp, (League of German Girls Proficiency Clasp) which came in bronze and silver grades, and were aged 14 to 21.

Both were bestowed to girls that had successfully passed tests in first aid, nursing, athletics, homemaking, and the political ideology of the Hitler Youth during a one year period.

The JM badge was easier to obtain as the test were not as hard as for the older girls, but designed along the same lines.

It is recorded that over 58 thousand awards were made by 1943, and you had to at least 12 years old to be bestowed the badge.

Niemann shows it valued at 250 Euro on page 389 of his 2004 reference guide.

          Ron,

thanks a lot for your input, I took some close ups of this one again. So is the number on the back then referring to a certain person?

The pin itself seems to be a multi-part construction, having red cloth inside; on the back, it is RZM marked and numbered ...

Wow ... I got lucky this time

Weitze offers one in worse condition for EURO 120 ... I guess this is really one of the scacrest tinnies I ever had ... wow!

Thanks for that information, Guy & Martin - let me know if you want one

                        Nice score Kevin!

Just remember that just because a dealer has something for 120 Euro doesn't mean that you will get that for it. Most dealers list things for outlandish prices...I know that there are WHW pieces on Weitze's site that he is asking 40 Euro for...we offer the same thing on our website for $5.00!

Nice pieces though...it's always nice to find some diamonds in the rough!

                        All the best,
                        Chrys

Its book value is 40 Euro. It must be common in England, as I have had a few!

I have several of all the ones listed also. Nice late tinnies. A great addition to a collection but price wise, I agree with Pete. More like in the $40.00 - $50.00 range, maybe alittle more if you really want them.
