    Small group, help please!

    Hello Forum!

I don't usually ask this type of question, but a friend of mine is looking to sell his Grandfather's small collection of German war memorabilia and I was hoping that some of you could help me to determine a fair price for the entire group, as I would like to buy the group at a fair price. I only have pictures of the fronts, but here they are.

The two badges are complete and in-tact. The Panzer Assault badge is marked with a "W" and something else that I could not make out.
The marking was in a circle and located to the left of the hinge and just a little lower from the hinge. The General Assault badge is also zinc but has a nice finish. I don't remember if it was marked.

    Thanks in advance!

    Chris

      Some enameled badges:

The "DJ" badge is missing the pin attachment on the back.

The two badges with the lions are also missing the pins on the back.

        Thanks again!

          Hi Chris,

I can't help you with prices on the tinnies etc as I am out of touch with current prices on these, but I can with the shooting badges as I collect those.

Collector to collector prices on the ones without Swastikas would be about $40-$50 & the ones with Swaz's would be about $75-$80. Dealers would probably sell them for $70 - $80 & $100- $110 respectively.

          Cheers
          Don

The Potsdam badge is the best of the tinnies, can,t see if it,s
bronze or silver around the $150 mark if it,s good
              Regards

                Chris,

You might want to post closeups front and back of the PAB and GAB in the Heer/SS War and Qualification Badges Forum. The PAB looks like the area between the left side of the wreath and the turret cupola is filled in, which is a bad sign, and its front design doesn't appear like any PAB with any variation of a W marking that I know of.

Then again, it may just be the lighting in the photo that makes it look like the area is filled in, and makes the grass area look different. It may be a good PAB by Karl Wurster of Markneukirchen, with a stylized KWM inside a circle in the location you mentioned. But better photos would clear it up.

                Best,
                Greg
