It's not an Olympic Medal as such, may be for a peliminary event or just held in the Olympic Year.....(IMO)

I translate it to be an award for "Working Dogs" (Sheep Dogs? Sled Dogs? or Racing Dog?) awarded durning the Olympic Year of 1936, though you can probably translate it better than I.....

Certianly a "High" award, not everyone's thing....but certianly unique and striking...I guess the value anywhere from $100.00 to $250.00 without more information....but that's a "guesstimate".....

See what the others have to say. Very nice and I'd certianly give it shelf space!
