Hello All:
As tinnie collectors I'm sure many of us use the Tieste books and appreciate the work that went into compiling the various editions over the years.
The one gripe I have is that some of the pictures are just terrible. I can understand that some very rare tinnies would not be found very often so you have to take what you can get but some tinnies are quite common (at least one must assume so from the given prices) and I don't think it would be too much to expect better quality photos.
Recently I found one of the most obvious examples when talking to a friend. I have posted the scan from the Tieste book next to the actual tinnie itself. I have the current edition and the previous one of the catalogue and the same picture is used. I know it is easier to just add to the previous edition but I would make an effort to replace some of the photos if I were able to get better quality photos .
