Jo has some of these on his site. According to him these are early originals from around 1934 when the badge was instituted.
I hope it's not a clever fake but indeed a different, early production variation.

I like it also....but never have seen one hollow either. Is there a list of awardees anywhere that can be referenced ? I have never seen a list yet of numbers for any youth sports awards to date. You would think at least the leaders would be listed somewhere.
