    Sports badge reacts to Magnet?

The full size Sports badge, I thought it was made of tombac or bronze. But when I tested it with a magnet, it strongly reacted to it. Is this usual?

I don't know, but the pin is wrong on this example.

The maker of the badge is ERNST SCHNEIDER LUDENSCHEID

Also not a common maker maybe?

Here are some close up photos of the hinge area and the catch:

It shows how the pin was folded in the end.

First time I see an example made of Iron. Don't know about originalty but IMO it is unlikely that a fake would be made from iron.

Nickel also reacts to magnets, so could have a high nickel content.
