    Party Pin

Hello. Just have a quick question about a party pin. I do not have pictures since I had the badge in hand today and walked away since I don't think I have enough knowledge to pick this one up. The badge looked good from the front. What got me was the back and the RZM...there was an RZM on top. I believe the number was 52 on the bottom of the badge. What struck me was that there is no M before the number. U found this odd and walked away. I can still get the badge if it is OK but I was just too unsure. Is the number with no RZM normal or did I do the right thing in walking away? Thanks in advance.

This may help you in the future to be more specific.

I have been digging through that thread for some time. Great info but I was being a little lazy.

Yes, as jerry c. noted below and Juoneen illustrated, there was a brief time in the early 1930s as the RZM machinery was in the process of going online when the M+letter codes were still in flux and development; at that time the RZM logo shows up on badges together with the maker's newly=assigned code number, but there was not yet an M/1 designation in place. If the badge you saw was a nice cloisonne piece, I think it is probably a good one.

So...it is recommended that I pick this up? Price is really good.
