Olympic Badge

Anyone know much about these? Does this badge look ok? I've never come across these before & any help would be gratefully received.

Don, I've seen several of these but not in recent years. Most I saw were in the 1980's. I also own one exactly like this but with a different number engraved in the back (525). I have always beleived these to be genuine based on the fact the market is not flooded with them, they show excellent enamel work and construction. I had thought I saw one pictured in a reference once but could never find it again. When I bought mine, the story was that these were workers badges for those working in the Olympic village in the 1936 Olympics. Unfortunately I have also heard they were fantasy badges even though neither case (original or fake) has been able to be documented.
