There has been great debate on these for quite some while. While there do appear to be originals out there, what seems to distinguish them from the very well made supposed reproductions is the detail to the face of Icarus. On those deemed to be original, there is much more detail to the face unlike what is seen in the badge pictured here. However, I don't think anyone has ever been able to determine why the supposed reproductions have been so labeled. All are well made and would have been expensive to reproduce as these go back to at least the early to mid eighties and, even though not uncommon, the market is not flooded with these. For me, the jury is still out.

NSFK Badges
While it is possible that Neff made these during the period in question, Gustav Brehmer was an authorized maker of NSFK badges. Best to stick with pieces so marked.
