It is a members badge for the N.S. Kriegsopferversorgung, an organisation for the war disabled. The sword point should be facing upwards, it is difficult to identify whether it is original but it looks good from your pics, and not a badge that I have seen reproduced.

Yes I agree it is an NSKOV badge, organisation for the wounded and the relatives of those killed in action. Not a good photo so that could be the reason for the lack of interest.

Not a great picture, but look at the Oak leaf wreath detail and the edges of the badge cut-out should be "fine".... any makers mark ?
