Just my opinion of course, this VBKeV pin could be for the Bayerische branch of VDKV or Verband Deutscher KriegsVeteranen. This organization was founded by former combatants of the franco-prussian war in Leipzig on 8.18.1894 and, after WW1, published the book "Das Deutsche Volk in Waffen - der Weltkrieg 1914-1918". There are some information about its history and goals in these recent books:
- Der militarismus der kleinen leute, by Thomas Rohkraner;
- Kultfigur und Nation, by Helke Rausch.
