When they first came out not too long ago some people got fooled...after all they are nicely aged etc, but then they were exposed as fakes and can now even be bought as fakes for about 30 or 40 dollars...I sometimes ask myself what will they think of next.

Any other info on this badge? I had one with a leather tab for attaching to a jacket button. It was more than a few years ago. Came with a Luft.photo album [some sort of administrator] and a hike medal in memory of Werner von Braun.. Someone had told to me contact Detlev N. about it..He had written back he thought they were original and had just recently sold one as a original piece..thanks , G.

i live in the town WVB ended up. we have a small museum with pennemunde and think they are our sister city. everyone here loves WVB but lots of people in the US dont. i have gone to the discussions and have my own conclusion since i understand a little bit about wartime germany and the military. we have a scientist or two left in town and one is alledged to be awarded a EK not sure if one or a 2. did these badges all have the same number on them? you dont see pics of this badge anywhere or do you? thanks for posting.

No have not so far seen badge in a ref.book..Only had the brief email from D.Niemann about it a couple of years ago.. I have seen 5 including this one posted here in 30 yrs..The one I had was a 3 digit # and also had some type marking on leather tab .. , G.

Has there ever been any of these been confirmed as being legit, as i was told many years ago that these were an employee badge , for employees that worked at the HEAVY WATER manufacturing plant.

Thats why the lapel button type bade button holder on the back, it was suppose to be worn in the lapel button hole on a jacket.

As i have seen another model of this with a different number on it.
