    Sun Wheel

Now youre all really showing off just because I dont have one !
I have seen one like yours very recently Curt and very nice it was too.
It was up for grabs for around €85.
Is that a good price and how much are they faked ?
    Regards
    David

Glad you like them David. After Carsten posted some others I checked what I had and I think it is the only Sonnenwende one I have other than the one that started the thread.

As far as prices go I am not the best person to ask because I have been very lucky to have found a very good source where I have been buying for yesrs now. I really only have the Tieste catalogues and my friend's opinion that I go by. Tieste shows the Plauen piece at 30 Euros and that is exactly what I paid for each of the 2. Even keeping in mind a markup for a dealer I would say 85 Euros is too much. I find the higher the Tieste value is the less likely it is you'll get it for that price. As for fakes, very rarely do lower priced tinnies get faked . Purely from what I have seen but I'm sure others here will be able to enlighten you further.

By the way the tinnie that started things is listed in Tieste at 20 Euros and as such would definitely be considered quite common so keep that in mind while searching.

      Good Luck
      Curt

Nice curt very nice 2 orig badges indeed, first time i see the combinding of both swasticas ( the 4 fs and the mobile swastica together ) at this time in 1933 the bended 4fs TB swastica was banned in austria so this is also a " provocation " badge indeed.
well david, there are fakes of these badges but imo its not heavly faked and still some are ( still ) easy to rule out and dont worry david you have a big collecting area infront of you there are meny of these badges in diff variations both form size and deff. also in price.

        cheers in beers

          Sonnenwende Tinnie

I picked up a gold Sonnenwende commemorative tinnie this past year. Maker marked on the obverse.

Does anyone know the Stadt and Jahr for this type? Thanks!
