    DRL Badge Question

    Gentlemen,

I picked this lot up recently.

Is the DRL badge a post 57 version? On the back *L.CHR.LAUER Nürnberg* and M.SCH. No 33918. Is this a good piece?

I have now looked more closely at this and see it is DRA not DRL. Does that make it pre-Nazi or a different badge altogether?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards

    James

    James,

The DRA Sports Badge was replaced by the DRL Sports Badge in 1937.

    Best regards,

Interesting Ron - thanks for telling me. I have now found it on Wikipedia

Is the M.SCH. No 33918 unique and if so is it possible to research it?

      Many thanks

      James

        Hi,

it changed from DRA to DRL in 1935.

"No 33918" is not uniqie, it is the number for "Musterschutz" "copyright".

        Uwe
