    Abzeichen

I had never seen a "Abzeichen" tray book until today. I guess that this is what they used before Riker mounts. Do any of you guys use this type of tray book?

I like the book but it doesn't immobilize the badges. I kinda like Rikers keeping everything stable and secure.

I know that there are some good pins and badges in there along with some common ones. I am having a lot of fun looking them up on the net. I did get stumped on a few but I will try to get some better pics before I ask any questions.

Very nice, do I see a 29 RPT badge and Gau Munich badge in there?

Yup they are both there along with that heavy ass 1933 RPT badge. There is a lot of candy in the box.

            Updated with better pics....

Does any one know anything about the badge that is below the 1929 RPT?

Also the one with the wood stove has me stumped (it's next to the WHW Westfalen).

            Thanks

It is quite a fine display case for collecting event and souvenir badges; obviously made for that purpose, though I have not seen one previously. As to the badge below the Nuremberg '29, yes, I recognize that monument and the badge must represent a Nazi gathering held there in 1933, but for the life of me I simply cannot remember the name of the memorial or its location. As to your other question: the badge reads "For Saucepan and Oven" and, while I have not seen it before, it looks to be an early piece, perhaps a donation token from the WHW or given as a token of supporting Göring's pre-war rationing through the "guns instead of butter" Four Year economic plan toward rearmament? Just some thoughts...

When do we get to see the reverse?

Thanks for all the interest guys!

Sorry it took so long to get back to this post. I had a set up at an antique festival all weekend. I did get some pics of the three badges that everyone is interested in.

Sadly I think that it will be best to remove everything from the trays because I don't believe it to be a stable environment for the badges.

A very nice early 29 RPT badge! Also, the Gau Munich badge is textbook as well. Again, congrats on a fantastic find!

Can anyone tell me if I have a complete set of the "people tinnies" that are in the last tray? Are they WHW or something else? What's the year of issue? Any other info would great.

I am thinking about framing them and putting them up on the wall.

                            Thanks in advance

                              Hello:

These are WHW and came out on the 5th + 6th of November 1938. There should be 20 of them and from what I can see you are missing the man from Kaernten walking and the woman from Tirol with a blue apron. There is also an identical set with "Ostmark" at the bottom.
