Ken Mc sent me his photo which I am posting here.Ken do you know any history of this eagle? Its dubious at best in my opinion, but I have not held it in my hands to know for sure. The felt looks like it could be period, but it chose to be one of the rarest of all the aermeladler,HVD Paris.Appears to have a higher quality of silk screen print than I would expect to see prior to 1945.

      Brad,

This eagle was a purchase made in the late 1940's from Hobby Guild of America then located NYC. Sold as authentic and held by collector since purchase.

Does anyone know of any nazi insignia that was manufactured in the same manner as this eagle?

The last eagle looks like one of the repros produced in the late 40s. They were faking a lot of Nazi cloth insignia even before the war ended - for 'schoolboy collectors' etc. Captured German badges were copied and sold to kids much like cigarette cards. They could 'build up the set' in next to no time.

If only it were the same today.
