Opinions on SA Treffen badge

Hi:

I had this SA Treffen 1931 badge on the for sale list a few days ago.
I took it off the for sale list after a fellow collector told me it may be a repro.
I am not a badge collector and now nothing about them...so I would appreciate your opinions.
This badge has the solid back and is maker marked W 38 inside a large R

Treffen badge

I had mentioned to Gary that I've never seen one of this pattern. I've seen several varieties of the hollow badges, marked and unmarked, and the standard solid RZM type. They all have a different eagle than this one, and better detailing of the leaves and bow. Has anyone seen one with this pattern eagle before?

Is that some kind of maker's mark off to the right of the pin, and is the pin really affixed as off center as it appears in the photo?

Yes that is a maker mark to the right of the pin.
I took the picture at angle so I would'nt get to much shadow from the sun...that's what makes the pin look off center.

This is one of my favourite political awards and I have 4 varieties in my collection. The pix are not the best but in my opinion this example is a copy.

Thanks for your help guys... This badge was included in a trade... That's why I don't collect badges and medals.
