Did the SS prohibit SS tinnies?

In a recent discussion with a colleague, I was told that Himmler did not like tinnies and saw them as "kitsch".

I was wondering if there were any official directives prohibiting or discouraging the manufacture of tinnies for the SS?

I never heard that regarding Himmler. If that were so, why were there SS tinnies such as the Franfurt tinnie for example?

My thinking was that perhaps, early on in 33 and 34 things were in such flux that orders had not yet been made prohibiting such things. On the other hand, that wouldn't explain the 1936 Quedlinburg tinnie.

However, there are so few different SS tinnies as opposed to other organizations such as the SA. Perhaps there was an official reason for this.
