Blut und Boden Membership Pin

Here is a very nice looking little pin which I just acquired. From my research here on the Forum I believe this to be a membership pin in the "Blut und Boden" (farmers') organization of the Reichsnahrstand (State Food Supply Office).

Nicely marked Dechlers and BLUT UND BODEN TINNIES, tho Rons metal on cloth is very usual, looks like one for the arm. My badge, my guess is a 40 year award possibly boxed originally accompanied possibly with one of those neat stickpins.........possibly?

I think "Blut und Boden" is not an organisation, but the motto of the Reichsnahrstand. This motto came from the philosopher Oswald Spengler, and was popularized during the Third Reich by Walther Darré.

Love these Reichnahrstand items, in particular the membership pins. A truly outstanding example of a powerful and distinctive "logo" during the TR period.

i love these pieces also.

perhaps considered the step-child of third reich organizations... but i've come to realize "blut und boden" is the cornerstone of N.S. idealogy.

i'd like to add some of these items to my collection in the near future.
